AN independent review of the state's illicit tobacco regulatory framework is set to be carried out, following a Parliament motion lodged by Wangaratta–based state MP Tania Maxwell.
Announced last Thursday, the review, led by Commissioner for Better Regulation, Anna Cronin, will investigate the existing framework, which sees more than $820 million a year funneled into organised crime.
