WODONGA-based Victorian Senator, Bridget McKenzie, has officially rejoined the Morrison-Joyce Government’s front bench.
The Nationals Senator was on Friday sworn in as the Federal Government’s Minister for National Recovery and Resilience and Emergency Management, and Minister for Regionalisation, Regional Communications and Regional Education.
Senator McKenzie’s return to the front bench came in the same week she marked 10 years as a Victorian Senator.
She said she would “work tirelessly” to support regional Australia’s recovery, not just from the COVID-19 pandemic, but also recent bushfires, floods and drought.
“The pandemic has also seen a shift in workplace arrangements with more people working from home and relocating to our regions... I look forward to exploring opportunities on this front for regional Australia,” she said.
