Albury United a challenge for Lady Devils

WANGARATTA'S women face one of the top sides in the Albury Wodonga Football Association this Sunday, as the Lady Devils head up to Jelbart Park to play Albury United.

Both division one and two matches are sure to be spectacles, with the Lady Devils in with a legitimate chance of taking out both matches.

Division one coach Lockie Campbell said the side was preparing well, eager to put some late–season wins on the board.

"The ladies are keen to bounce back again this weekend," he said.

"We know United is a tough line up for us but we are still keen to get back to playing football the way we know we can.

"We will be looking at how we structure ourselves this weekend, working on things such as making sure we are mentally prepared for a full 90 minutes and that we won't give up no matter what.

"We had a good week at training, putting in the hard work so we can give ourselves the best possible run into finals.

Wangaratta's reserves have played the Greens just once this season, but their 2–0 scoreline and elevated position on the ladder back them in for another successful outing.

"We're coming off a hard fought game against top of the leaderboard, a lot of the girls have their confidence behind them which is a really positive thing to see," reserves coach Georgia Mahoney said.

"We have won against United before but we have to remind ourselves every week not to get complacent and play every game like it's the top of the leaderboard.

"We should have our full team this week having two games being played in our women's division so there will be some key players playing two games.

"I'm really striving towards finishing the season up with a good place on the leader board ready for finals."
