WITH a first round bye for the open women's side, Wangaratta Rovers' under 14 and under 17 teams kicked off the North East Border Female Football League season for the Hawks against Wodonga on Sunday.

The Bulldogs, who fielded only an under 14 side in 2021, have expanded their ranks to add the under 17 team, which the Rovers were able to top–up with players for the clash at Wodonga's Martin Park.
