Magpies lose promising duo

WANGARATTA promising youngsters Fletcher Ramage and Bailey Dale have left Norm Minns Oval.

The duo will join former Magpies coach and second year North Albury mentor Luke Norman at Bunton Park.

Ramage played one senior match for the Magpies in 2019 but spent this year in the reserves.

Dale played in the Magpies' thirds losing grand final side in 2019 before departing Norm Minns Oval to attend university.

Ramage, 21, is Norman's nephew.

"Fletcher was starved of senior opportunities at Wangaratta and it was a tough decision for him to switch clubs," Norman said.

"He is a fairly loyal kid but being his uncle I was able to convince him to join me at Bunton Park.

"There is a couple of roles I can see him playing."

Norman is also excited to see what Dale can do.

"Bailey has been down in Melbourne at university but is keen to get back and have a crack at the O&M," he said.

"My young bloke Carter who played at North Albury this year and Bailey are good mates.

"Bailey is a 190cm key forward and I rate him highly."
