GYM owners across regional Victoria are calling for changes to COVID-19 rules barring them from opening.
Among locals affected by the restrictions, which have seen gyms allowed to open for only about six weeks since late March, is Amber Kiker of Wangaratta’s Fitness4Me, who is hoping common sense will prevail in the ruling on a pathway to opening for indoor fitness centres.
Ms Kiker’s fitness studio for women has operated in Wangaratta’s CBD for the past six years, but the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in late March forced her to close the doors.
