COUNCILLOR Dean Rees has been re–elected Rural City of Wangaratta mayor and his right–hand man Cr Harry Bussell re–elected deputy.
Both were elected uncontested at Tuesday evening's council meeting, to serve a one–year term, with two years remaining for the existing council.
Mayor Rees thanked fellow councillors for their support and also that of the community.
