FAIR GO?: The Victorian State Government's ESVF levy is expected to add $3 million in costs to the community. Wangaratta council has expressed concern to Treasurer Jaclyn Symes, pictured left next to Premier Jacinta Allan, about the ESVF's resource burden, noting many landowners' have indicated they won't pay.

WANGARATTA council has endorsed its 2025-29 Revenue and Rating Plan following community consultation.

Between December 2024 and January 2025, 138 community members participated in the engagement process, informing the final plan.

This new plan aims to simplify the rating structure, with fairer treatment of landowners based on land use, value, and services received from council.
