POLICE are investigating a fatal crash in Browns Plains, near Rutherglen, on Saturday morning.
It is believed a vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree near the intersection of Chiltern-Howlong and Gooramadda roads just after 9.30am.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The spokesperson said circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and a police investigation remains ongoing.
