Wangaratta’s pubs: part one

LANDMARK: This photo C 1900 depicts the glorious high Victorian elegance of Pasquan's Commercial Hotel on the corner of Murphy and Reid streets. The licensee is the Savings Bank of Victoria whose sign is on Murphy Street. The style is high Victorian and the veranda columns, wrought iron lace work and hanging lamps on upper and lower levels hung at intervals. Note the gas street lamp.
