AN announcment on what the landscape of country football and netball could be in 2020 is unlikely this week despite a host of meetings between AFL North East Border and its affiliated leagues and clubs beginning last night.

After Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced an easing of social distancing restrictions on Monday, which included the return to training for professional sporting teams, there was renewed hope that community football and netball would soon have a return date.

AFL NEB scheduled meetings last night (OKFNL & WDJFL), tomorrow night (TDFL and AWJFL) and Thursday night (O&MFNL) where they will discuss a range of topics with league and club representatives.
