WANGARATTA trainer Dan McCarthy’s quest for group success returns tomorrow with champion sprinter Ashlor rated as a top chance to claim yet another metropolitan victory.
The six-year-old gelding, who is closing in on $1 million in career prizemoney, travels to Caulfield for the group three $160,000 Sir John Monash Stakes (1100m).
Ashlor is rated a $9 chance for the feature race and is further strengthened by the fact he has the state’s leading jockey in Daniel Stackhouse back on board.
