The best presents for this Christmas

LEFT your Christmas shopping for the kids until the last minute and looking for some inspiration?

Owner of Toyworld Wangaratta Bill Michalowski said while all toys have been selling out across the board there are some that stand out from the rest including perennial favourites Lego and Barbie, due to their timeless nature, as well as Squishmallows and toy cars.

“Lego and Barbie have always been among some of our most popular toys,” he said.

“Squishmallows are made of this different material unlike any other plush toy, which some people find very comforting, and remote control cars this year have been popular with both boys and girls.”

Lego and Duplo has especially been in demand due to appealing to all age groups.

“All kinds of Lego have been popular from the Duplos for one to two year olds to the larger Lego sets aimed more at 10 to 12 year olds,” Mr Michalowski said.

“I’ve actually been surprised with the amount of people buying them for their dads, brothers, husbands, and themselves.”

Other toys that have been flying off the shelves particularly for the 10 to 12 age range, have been educational scientific sets.

Mr Michalowski said Toyworld stock all kinds of toys, including those that were played with in the past are still played with now.

“Our motto is kids will always play with the same toys, what we played with as kids, our kids and grandkids will play with now,” he said.
