Police have formally identified two hikers who were found dead at an isolated hiking area at Mount Bogong earlier in the month as Melbourne-based women.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said a report would be prepared for the coroner after the two women from Clayton aged 24 and 30 were found deceased at Lendednfeld Point, Nelse on Friday, 3 October.
