The Wangaratta Players’ production of ‘Waiting for God’ has garnered huge success with the community, and for good reason too.

Their 16 November show was no exception; in fact, it was another full house.

As soon as the doors opened, you could feel the sense of anticipation bubbling within theatregoers, eagerly awaiting to be impressed by the talent and atmosphere on-stage.

Whether they were visiting to see a relative or friend shine in the cast or to simply support the local arts, the overwhelmingly positive reception so far was a good sign theatregoers were promised a splendid time.

When The Rain Stops Falling information session Saturday, 6 December @ 1pm

If you’ve always wanted to experience the thrill of being involved with the Wangaratta Players why not attend an information session about an upcoming production.

Wangaratta Players are hosting an information session for the acclaimed Australian drama ‘When The Rain Stops Falling’ by Andrew Bovell - a powerful, multi-generational story that spans 80 years, from a 1959 London flat to the vast deserts of Australia in 2039.

This is your last chance to find out why it snows on Uluru.

Wangaratta Players are seeking actors and actresses aged between 20 and 60 to bring these complex, interwoven characters to life.

The information session will be held at the Stage Door Studio 4D Evans Street Wangaratta.

Cast will be selected and given a script before the end of 2025 to learn their lines.

Rehearsals will then start in April 2026 to learn the intricately designed and arranged sequence of choreographed movements.

The show will open for six performances in July 2026.

To find out more, attend the information session or contact Shelley on 0429 130 568 or email at productions@wangarattaplayers.tidymail.com.
