Three people, including a four-year-old girl were hospitalised after a car crash east of Whorouly on Tuesday afternoon.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said it was understood the vehicle crashed into a tree on Merriang Gap Road about 2:15pm.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics assessed three patients on the scene, with the girl airlifted to The Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious condition with non-life threatening upper body injuries.

A 54-year-old woman was taken to Northeast Health Wangaratta in a serious but stable condition with upper and lower body injuries and a 32-year-old man was taken to the Wangaratta hospital in a stable condition.

Both the man and the woman had non-life-threatening injuries.
