Wangaratta police are investigating a targeted break-in and burglary at a Parfitt Road motorcycle dealership in the early hours of Thursday, 4 December.

Detective Senior Constable James Howarth of Wangaratta Criminal Investigation Unit said about 3:30am offenders broke into the front window and door of Gas Moto and Power Equipment after driving down in a car and a trailer.

The offenders then allegedly loaded a red Honda CRF250RS motorbike onto the trailer before taking off.

Det Sen Const Howarth said the alarm may have deterred the offenders from taking other items.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage of the incident in the effort of identifying the vehicle and accused thieves.

Det Sen Const Howarth said the vehicle used in the break-in was suspected to have been stolen.
