Wangaratta police are investigating two early morning crashes within the North East on Wednesday which saw a pair of drivers hospitalised.
Acting Sergeant Paul Hore said emergency services were called to a car rollover on Oxley Flats Road near Wangaratta about 4:35am.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics treated and assessed a man in his 20s at the scene and transported him to Wangaratta hospital with lower body injuries in a stable condition.
Following the incident, Act Sgt Hore said a male driver in his 40s crashed into a tree near the intersection of Carmichaels Road and Morans Road, Bundalong about 6am.
The Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics treated the man at the scene and transported him to Wangaratta hospital with lower body injuries in a stable condition.
Act Sgt Hore said both incidents were under investigation.
“At this stage we’re unsure whether it was fatigue, speed or drug and alcohol use which caused these crashes,” he said.
