BONNIE Doon's finals chances rest on a knife's edge, sitting in sixth on the A grade ladder by just over five per cent, and tomorrow's match against the undefeated Greta is unlikely to improve their standing.
With a record of eight wins and seven losses, the Bombers need to win at least two of their next three matches, and hope other results go their way, if they want to see action in September.
However, with Whorouly nipping at their heels on the ladder and the indomitable netball titans of Greta in their immediate way, the next few weeks will be crucial.
"We are watching the ladder very carefully, but we're just enjoying ourselves at the moment and trying not to overthink it," Bonnie Doon captain Mia Tanner said.
"It's actually feeling really good, we are feeling the pressure a little bit, given it's us and two other teams fighting for that six, but we have really started to work as a team now.
"At the start of the season we were finding it a little bit difficult but now it's really starting to flow and if it's going to be any time, it's definitely going to be these last couple of games.
"It's what we need to push us into the finals."
Tanner said the undefeated Greta posed a massive hurdle for the Bombers, but she backed her squad to do the job.
"We know what Greta's like – credit to them, they've been playing together for a long time and to be undefeated this season, that's amazing," she said.
"We are just trying to go into it with clear heads, not being intimidated by the points and who they are – we know they're good, but we also have our own style of play.
"We'll just go in and play our game, and see what happens."
