WANGARATTA City makes the tough trek to Cobram this weekend after an outstanding 2–1 victory over Albury United last Sunday.

The Roar pushed one of the league's top teams in Myrtleford in round one but fell just short (2–3) and will be eyeing a big scalp on Sunday.

Devils coach Daniel Vasilevski expects a challenge on Sunday.

"It's always a challenge driving up to Cobram," Vasilevski said.

"We don't really know what to expect from them, they've come out and said they'll be harder to beat than last year so it's going to be an interesting match.

"Bill Puckett isn't coaching anymore either and is focusing on playing so I reckon he's going to be fitter so we can't write them off."

Vasilevski believes Cobram showed they can score after netting two goals against Myrtleford.

"Myrtleford have a solid back four so Cobram definitely showed they can score against good sides," he said.

"We just need to make sure we bring the same preparation and intensity as we did against United last weekend.

"I think in the second half last weekend we gave away possession and lost our shape a bit so that's probably where we need to improve."

Josh Masters and Jordan Vellian are set to come in to the Devils' squad this weekend.

"Josh Masters and Jordan Vellian will come in but will most likely start on the bench because we want to keep the same starting 11," Vasilevski said.

"Josh needs the fitness and Jordan wasn't registered last weekend so they're two handy players who we'll have on the bench."

Sunday's clash starts at 3pm at Cobram's Apex Reserve.
