AT a time when we are all being encouraged to stay at home unless absolutely necessary and more events are being cancelled, a local seedling grower recently found herself in a pickle.

Chris Van Ingen from the old Meadow Creek nursery normally plies her trade from a stall at community markets, and just as her freshly grown autumn seedlings were ready to go, those markets began to be cancelled.

She had hoped to be able to attend a local market on Sunday, one of her last opportunities to sell, only to have that cancelled just a few days ago - and things were looking bleak.
