AMID rising demand for food relief in Wangaratta driven by the effects of COVID-19, local groups are working to ensure no one misses out.

Food relief programs overseen by Loaves and Fishes Christians Caring via Anglicare Victoria, Open Door Neighbourhood House, and Wangaratta High School are among those catering for people in need in the current economic and social climate.

Cathy Nesbitt, community development worker at Anglicare Victoria, said the focus of all programs was to encourage people to ask for help if they needed it, through whatever avenue they felt comfortable.
