A SERIES of roadworks throughout Wangaratta’s CBD is starting to get on the nerves of commuters but several works will be completed in the coming weeks.

Local roadworks were ramped up due to the COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns resulting in less movement on the roads in the CBD but the side effects are becoming more obvious as more people head back to their workplaces.

One of the main burdens to motorists’ commute times is the closure of Faithfull Street with traffic on the Queen’s Birthday weekend particularly noticeable along Parfitt Road and Murphy Street.
