Galen Catholic College year 11 Vocational Major Personal Development students are holding a community raffle to raise funds for Northeast Health Wangaratta's maternity ward.
The hospital put out an appeal for fundraising towards its maternity ward earlier in the year and reached their $70,000 fundraising target in August.
But this hasn't stopped the team of year 11 Galen students from raising additional funds and help the hospital's mission in providing the highest standard of care to newborns in the region.
The students chose to run a raffle as a practical and inclusive way to raise funds while actively engaging with their community.
They decided to donate the proceeds to the local maternity ward to support families and newborns, contributing to a vital and valued resource within the community.
Up for grabs are nine prizes and the community raffle has been supported by a host of local businesses.
Tickets can be purchased for $2 each or three for $5 by scanning the QR code provided or following the link: https://galencatholiccollegeonlinestore.myshopify.com/products/gcc-community-raffle
The raffle will be drawn on 21 November.
