Wangaratta High School has welcomed local support for an upcoming trip to South America to build homes for local families.

Some 26 students and four staff members will travel to the village of Chincha, on the coast south of Lima, to help build two homes for families currently living in straw huts.

O'Briens Heating Cooling Plumbing & Refrigeration Wangaratta, together with their partners Haus O' Fire, Tradelink, Braemar Heating & Cooling, and Jetmaster Heat & Glo, recently donated $1500 to the school to help with building materials for their 2026 service project.

In addition to the monetary donation, O’Briens and their partners have also donated a VisionLINE Vesta 50" electric fireplace (RRP $1440) as the major prize in the school's fundraising raffle, helping raise vital funds to support this life-changing project.

Raffle tickets are available from Wangaratta High School's administration office for just $5 each or three for $10.
