WHILE Galen Catholic College’s application for $5 million in Catholic Education Office funding to build a new double stadium was not successful, the project remains on the school’s radar.

The school had lodged an application for funding to support its proposal for a $10 million double stadium to be built near its existing tennis courts, off Park Lane.

Galen had planned to retain its existing stadium as a performing arts space, which could also still be used for sport, while constructing two state level courts in the new stadium.
