THIS week as children across the region begin a staggered return to school, bus driver Josie Sampson is back on the road travelling from Moyhu to deliver students to the Edi Upper Primary School.
As a regular commuter on the Wangaratta-Whitfield Road, she’s among the growing number of local residents and business owners joining the call to see the busy road upgraded.
Ms Sampson said the road is simply not wide enough in sections where the shoulders have not been done, leaving little room to move when a truck comes along.
