WANGARATTA has had its best start to spring in four years, continuing its highest year to date rainfall over the same period.

WANGARATTA has had its best start to spring in four years, continuing its highest year to date rainfall over the same period.

And it’s a trend not likely to stop, with the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) on Wednesday announcing the first La Nina event in eight years since the wet years of 2010 to 2012.

Wangaratta’s rainfall last month of 30.4mm was the highest September falls since 2016, and brings the year to date total up to 427.6mm.
