DISRUPTIONS have continued on the V/Line network, with a communications fault cancelling dozens of services during the morning peak on Wednesday.
This is the third time in five weeks the network has come to a standstill during peak travel times.
According to V/Line, the fault affected the way train controllers communicate with train drivers.
V/Line worked with VicTrack to put a temporary communication solution in place, which allowed trains to resume running at normal speed around 6.30am.
Fortunately for many in the region, the fault was resolved before the departure time of the first Albury line service for the day, meaning these were not directly affected by the fault.
Many Albury services are still currently being replaced by coaches due to planned works on the Albury stabling yard until July 8, which aims to enable VLocity trains to stay overnight in Albury for the first time.
