A Wangaratta man charged with commercial ice trafficking within the rural city and avoiding police in a stolen car in Melbourne has flagged a guilty plea before court next year.
The 30-year-old appeared from custody at Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.
He has spent the past four months behind bars after it was alleged the 30-year-old was found with 100g of methylamphetamine and a stolen handgun after police raided his home on 7 July.
Some 11 days later he was located in Dandenong in an allegedly stolen car before fleeing police.
His vehicle was spiked by police and later apprehended after allegedly attempting to run away from officers
The 30-year-old was charged by a Wangaratta detective for commercial trafficking, possessing a stolen firearm, motor vehicle theft and evading police.
He will return to Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court on 15 January.
