TWO Wangaratta acts will be among those vying for success at Saturday's North East Battle of the Bands Series Grand Final.

Soloist Ebony Grant and band The Dunners were the winners of the series' Wangaratta heat held at The Vine in October, earning themselves places in the finale.

They will compete against performers from across the region who won other heats in the series, which draws artists from the Rural City of Wangaratta, as well as Mansfield, Benalla, Alpine, Indigo, Moira, Strathbogie, Towong and Albury shires.

Saturday's final will be held in the Banquet Hall at Albury Entertainment Centre in Swift Street from 3pm to 9pm.

The event offers the chance to see future stars of the local music scene in action, performing a variety of genres and styles as they compete for the grand prize.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards community youth programs in the region.
