THE Wangaratta Golf Club Women’s Singles Knockout final was played recently after a lengthy delay due to weather conditions over winter.

The winner was Jenny Kerr who defeated Dawn Fleet 2/1.

It was a great match in beautiful sunny weather with both women playing excellent golf.

This is the first Singles Knockout win for Jenny who is delighted with the result.

October/November also saw most of the women’s major events being completed.

The Doubles Knockout final was won by Lesley Anderson and Lois Sanderson who defeated Gail Dodd and Barb Thomas 2-up.

The Medal of Medals was won by Carolyn Sullivan with a net 69 and was a first time win for Carolyn.

The Captain’s Trophy was won by Carol Coghill (a merit based award on Monthly Medal results).

Carol won with 49 points and Carolyn Sullivan finished in second place with 38 points.

The Wangaratta Golf Club is hosting the NEDGA Sally Symonds 4BBB event on Friday, November 17 with 100 women entered in the field.

A great day for the club.
