A CRECHE service run at the Wangaratta Indoor Sports and Aquatic Centre (WISAC) since 2002 has been closed following a review.

Chloe Davies, Rural City of Wangaratta sports, aquatics and events precinct manager, said a review of the creche service found that it was “primarily being accessed by parents who were not using the centre”.

“The service has also been heavily subsidised by council in the past,” she said.
