A CLEANING blitz has begun at high traffic public areas in Wangaratta’s central business district.

The new initiative, backed by the Victorian Government’s Working for Victoria fund is part of the State Government’s new City Centre cleaning initiative that involves supplementary cleaning services that support the work council is already undertaking.

Council’s chief executive officer Brendan McGrath said the new initiative has a number of positive benefits for the community.
