CROSS-BORDER employees working in any sector will be able to successfully apply for permits to attend work in Wangaratta and surrounding towns from today.

The NSW-Victorian border was closed in early July to lessen COVID-19 transmissions and from today a 50km border bubble has been activated to give certainty to hundreds of border residents who have been prevented from attending work and education.

The change will bring an end to the anguish experienced by employees across a range of sectors including health, which haven’t been able to successfully apply for permits.
