WITH face to face training resumed, Wangaratta’s SES volunteers are honing their skills for the chance of increased floods this spring.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) outlook for the season has confirmed a La NiÃ±a weather pattern, which could bring heavy rains and a higher risk of floods in the North East.

Wangaratta SES controller Tracy Harper said the unit has been able to conduct critical skills and maintenance training, while adhering to social distancing.
