A Rowan Street resident awoke to a loud noise from an unexpected visitor after an unoccupied light-weight truck rolled backwards into her car on Friday morning.

The motorist had parked outside the Rowan Street post office on the northern side of the road and after entering the shop his vehicle has rolled backwards in front of oncoming traffic which managed to stop.

The truck continued over the road, mounted the curb and entered the driveway, coming to a grinding halt when it disintegrated a wheelie bin and smashing into the resident's car parked in the driveway.

Onlookers rushed to see if anyone was hurt and noticed that the truck was unoccupied and luckily no one was injured.
