AFTER 14 days in mandatory lockdown, independent federal member Helen Haines (MHR, Indi) set off for Canberra yesterday with a jam-packed to do list. Speaking to the media on Friday morning via Zoom, Dr Haines said when parliament resumes this week she will work with the relevant ministers to resolve border closure issues as well as push for the release of bushfire recovery money. “I’ve been in complete, full quarantine with my husband and we are both COVID-negative,” she said.
