COMMUNITY concerns that campers at Edi Cutting and Pioneer Bridge Rest Area near Everton are breaking new laws under the COVID-19 bans have been eased with police confirming they have legitimate reasons to be there.

Police from Wangaratta, Whitfield and Moyhu have been monitoring the camp sites around the area in particular, Edi Cutting and Pioneers Bridge.

They have asked social media users to realise police have attended to the matters and people are there because they are unable to return home.
