A1: WANGARATTA pushed premiership fancies YMGCR all the way, before falling away late on Saturday.

Wangaratta were in front half way through the match, however, YMGCR drew away to secure a top two spot.

Chris Randell, Jodie Fruend, Paul King, and Jan Hermassoo were winners over Ian Brimblecombe’s rink (21-18), while Phil Davern, Greg Braden, Steve English and Greg McDonald went down by the barest of margins (21-22).

Maurie Braden (14-26) and Trevor Selwood (13-18) both went down.

A3: Wangaratta lost its away game at Milawa on Saturday as the home side posted its only win for the season.

It is season over for Wangaratta, having a bye in the last round.

Gary Chambers, Denis Wadley, Ric Chivers, and Michells Van Praagh had a win over Marty Lane (23-17), while Richard Hermassoo, Ron McAuliffe, Terry Corrigan, and Bob McCalman defeated Colin Reid (23-11).

Peter Selwood lost to Dave Allan (9-29) and Gary Fenlon lost to Terry Hallinan (19-20).

Final scores: Wang 4 pts 74 shots lost to Milawa 14 pts 77 shots.

Milawa will travel to Club Mulwala next week.

B1: Wangaratta secured a top three spot with a strong win at home against Myrtleford on Saturday.

Ken Essenhigh, Lance Jenkin, Neil Jensen, and Gary Lidgerwood were big winners (23-7), while Richie Allan, Brian Godfrey, Terry Johnson, and John Black also won (21-12).

Keith Izard, Gerald Brown, Sussan Singleton, and Gayle King went down (21-24).

Moyhu 14 pts 65 shots def Benalla 0 pts 33 shots.

Wangaratta will travel to Moyhu next week.

B3: Wangaratta has finished with a double chance after defeating Myrtleford at home on Saturday.

Lyn Kahlefeldt, Susan Bull, Michael Howard, and John Keen had a draw (16 all), while Howard Beard, Heather Coyle, Ann Keen, and Thelma Stones won (27-19).

Graeme Norman, Lyn Sier, John Knight, and Bob Edwards also had a good win (21-15).
