Wangaratta Stingrays Swimming Club’s Hannah Sanders is fresh off a tremendous effort in an open-water swim pre-Christmas.

The 17-year-old came third in the 2.5km Victorian Open Water Championships, 17-18 female category, held at Eastern Beach, Geelong on Saturday, 20 December.

Overall, Sanders finished 46th out of 182 competitors finishing with a time of 37 minutes, a truly amazing effort from a country swimmer in the open ocean.
