A1: Wangaratta Hyundai A1 were taken to the cleaners by home side YMGCR on Saturday.
After an even start, Wang had no answers in the blustery conditions as YMGCR took all rink wins in a commanding performance.
Trevor Selwood, Aaron Braden, Jan Hermassoo and Laurie McDonald went down by the barest of margins, 17-18, while Adrian Pantling, Mark Allan, Gerald Brown and John Kane also came close losing by just two shots, 16-18.
Maurie Braden’s (17-35) and Phil Davern’s rink (12-20) suffered big losses.
Final scores: Wangaratta 0 pts 62 shots lost to YMGCR 18 pts 91 shots.
Next week Wang will host Myrtleford.
A4: Wangaratta Niko’s Butchery A4 jumped into third spot on the ladder after an impressive win at home over second placed North Albury on Saturday.
Terry Johnson, Richard Hermassoo, Barb McDonald and Leon Quartermain paved the way for the hosts with an emphatic 24-9 win, while Brian Challman, Richard Allan, Michael Howard and Gayle King were also untroubled on their way to a 21-8 victory.
Gary King, Murray Lawn, Mick Johnstone and Rob Worthington just went down 17-19 while Terry Corrigan’s rink suffered a heavy loss, 11-27.

Wang travel to Rutherglen next week.
A5: Wang Luminosity A5 drew with Corryong at Wang on Saturday.
Ken Essenhigh, Chris Bell, Neil Jensen and Bobby McCalman almost pulled off the win for the hosts with a big win, 29-15, however a close loss to Lyn Kahlefeldt’s rink (18-21) and a big loss to Keith Izard’s rink (16-27) saw the match all tied up at the end of play.
Final scores: Wangaratta 6 pts 63 shots drew with Corryong 8 pts 63 shots.
Wang will travel to Benalla next week.
B2: Wang WinSec B2 put up another brave performance on the road, this time against undefeated Corowa RSL on Saturday.
John Knight, Ann Keen, Lance Jenkin and Lorna Nankervis gained a rink win for the visitors (18-17), while Mick Lennane, Bruce Desmond, Bob Edwards and Ros Howard lost by the same margin (17-18).
Nev Jones’ rink went down 14-25.
Final scores: Wang 2 pts 49 shots lost to Corowa RSL 12 pts 60 shots.
Wangaratta travels to Club Mulwala next week.
