WANGARATTA Clay Target Club held a memorial shoot for two of the club’s long-time supporters, Victor Tomasoni and Enio Cavendon, on Saturday, October 21.
All prizes for the events were sponsored by Kudri Demaj, which the club greatly appreciated.
Event one - Victor Tomasoni 50 target points score.
The event was won by local club member Terry Pigram who has known both Victor and Enio since he was a small boy going to the club with his father Bob Pigram.
Terry won the event with a perfect score of 150/150 (the only possible for the event).
Second in AA went to Brett Ford 149/150.
A grade - Allen Cole, second - John Pieper; B grade - Geoff Walls, second - Bill McInnes; C grade - Peter McLaughin, second - Leon Tonks.
Event two - Enio Cavendon 50 target double barrel.
The event was won by AA grade shooter, Darren Saunders after a shoot-off with eight others who also shot the possible.
Final score was 129/129.
Second place went to junior shooter Cameron Ford with a score of 128/129.
A grade - Craig Sessions 109/110, second - Angelo Grassi 108/110; B grade - Jason Foster 81/82, second Gordon Twamley; C grade - Peter McLaughlin 29/50, second Laurie Robinson 58/60.
High Gun Winners for the day: overall - Terry Pigram with a perfect 200/200; junior - Cameron Ford 189/200; ladies - Jo-Anne Ford 185/200; veteran - Geoff Walls.
The club had a fantastic turn-up with 69 shooters for the day.
Down the Line numbers have increased greatly over the past few months due to a lot of hard work by club and committee members since the closure of the club in 2016 due to EPA issues.
