IT was a lovely day for a spot of sporting clays on Sunday, with 23 shooters turning out to compete for some Yeti drink bottles.
Marty Seymour took out AA grade with a score of 90/100 for the third month in a row.
Second was Rhys McGauran with a score of 84/100.
A grade: 1st - Andrew Harrington 72/100, 2nd - Harry Weygood 67/100.
B grade: 1st - John Gibb 73/100, 2nd Barry Ellis 72/100.
C grade - Michael Lindsay 52/100.
Juniors - Nate Palubiski 89/100 (25 shot).
Ladies - Marion Hill 54/100.
Veterans - Malcolm Hill 73/100.
Palubiski shot well, and has just returned from a successful time competing in USA for Australia.
A huge thanks to those who set-up (always a big job) and packed up as well.
Bob Glossop in office took off to shoot at Yarrawonga and won himself the Veterans High Gun as well an A grade in DTL.
Thanks also go to Alison Harwood for holding down the fort (there was a short hiatus due to a technical issue), Bruce Henshall for serving up the best roast beef rolls (supplied by Londrigan Finer Foods).
The Wangaratta Clay Target Club’s next shoot is Sunday, September 8.
