As the calendar ticks towards Christmas, a great place to do some festive gift shopping is the Wangaratta West Artisans Market on Saturday, 29 November.
To be held in and around St Michael's Anglican Church on the corner of O'Leary Street and Appin Street, the market will run from 9am to 1pm, boasting more than 35 stalls.
The stalls will showcase the wares of local craftspeople, and also offer items such as plants, home-baked cakes, jams and preserves and fresh produce.
There will be morning tea options, and the chance to grab some lunch from the barbecue, and there will also be a coffee van on-site to nourish shoppers browsing the stalls.
Catering for all entertainment interests, the ukulele club will perform at 10.30am, and there will be activities for children during the market.
Trish Gooch, one of the craftspeople taking part in the market, said it was known as a successful event due to its location and the number and range of stallholders.
"I make papercraft items, which offer a great opportunity for kids to buy a little Christmas gift for the people they love," she said.
Meanwhile, sisters Victoria and Kaitlyn Broady have been working on their paintings and upcycled items ready for the market, and are looking forward to presenting them for sale.
